The principle

A seat and a clear approach.

Start with a route from the entrance to the seating. An opposite-wall TV gives a more direct seated sightline than a TV on a side wall. A sofa at a window needs a real check of handles, curtains, ventilation and any heater, not an automatic ban.

The feng shui perspective

Feng shui often favors a supported seat and an open approach. This tool translates that preference into a wall-backed sofa and an uncluttered entry route. It makes no claim that a sofa position changes fortune or health.

Limits and sources

Check the real room.

The TV and window stay on the walls you choose. The check compares three sofa-wall templates and can move the table away from the doorway. It cannot measure walking space, viewing distance, glare or door swing clearance.
