Mirror placement planner
THE REASON BEHIND THE ROOM
Space first. Tradition in context.
A clear floor plan is a starting point, not a verdict on your home.
Mirror placement: approach & sourcesMeasured conflicts
Furniture footprints are checked for overlaps, wall crossings and the entered inward 90-degree door sweep. Furniture rotates in 90-degree steps. Rooms are rectangular and flat; sloped ceilings, built-in fixtures and vertical stacking are not modeled.
Sampled reflections and their limits
A standing mirror has a finite reflective edge and one fixed plan-view observation point. Seven rays reflect off that edge using the equal-angle law. The first plan footprint, opening or wall each reflected ray reaches is shown. Lines to the mirror can be blocked by objects explicitly marked as eye-level obstacles. Heights, mirror tilt, sunlight and repeated reflections are not modeled; a sampled view is not a photograph or a complete field of view.
Traditional feng shui preferences
Avoiding a bed or doorway reflection is optional, not a prediction of harm, illness or luck. Choose the view that feels comfortable. The support check remains unresolved until you confirm the real mirror is stable and secured; changing its drawn position never verifies this.
How alternatives are chosen
A limited, deterministic grid search tries positions for movable furniture. Dimensions, furniture count, openings and locks stay unchanged. Only conflict-free candidates that improve at least one check without worsening route or confirmation counts are shown. A search can miss a better arrangement; no result does not prove that your room is impossible.
