Furniture footprints are checked for overlaps, wall crossings and the entered inward 90-degree door sweep. Furniture rotates in 90-degree steps. Rooms are rectangular and flat; sloped ceilings, built-in fixtures and vertical stacking are not modeled.

A conservative 10 cm grid looks for a route to the desk working side or behind every linked chair. Chair positions and orientation are checked against their assigned desks. Window position identifies potential screen contrast, reflections or writing-hand shadows; it cannot predict sunlight, glare or illuminance.

Awareness of a doorway is a traditional command-position preference. Light, comfortable work and usable circulation take priority. Compass directions only reflect the wall bearing you enter. No personal favorable direction is calculated.

A limited, deterministic grid search tries positions for movable furniture. Dimensions, furniture count, openings and locks stay unchanged. Only conflict-free candidates that improve at least one check without worsening route or confirmation counts are shown. A search can miss a better arrangement; no result does not prove that your room is impossible.
